News: Friday Update: Auto-attacking while Shooting?

new hunter dead zone Just a couple items for the weekend… it’s been a slow back of the week for PvP news.

We’ve all seen pictures on the new 1-35 yd range on the hunter tooltips from this latest build on the PTR. After further testing by the community on the PTR (see this thread), it looks like there might actually be a bug with the wording on the hunter tooltips.

News: PTR 2.3 Patch Notes Update

PTR 2.3 Notes have been updated with a couple of interesting changes. No, they didn’t give hunters guided and piercing arrows, but they did give a nice buff to Cheat Death — chance to trigger increased to 33/66/100% and now also causes the rogue to take 90% less damage for 3 seconds when the effect triggers — that might make it worth venturing deeper into the Subtlety tree.

Speaking of subtlety, you can see some of that in action in Neilyo’s latest video.

Another biggie (and relief for all casters) is that silence effects are now on DR.

News: Gameriot 3v3 Tournament Sign Ups Begin

In the wake of WSVG’s collapse, Gameriot is hoping to fill the gap with it’s own community run tournament. Unlike the WSVG, this cross-battlegroup tournament will be held online with player-enforced rules within the current game.

To qualify, your team must be rated 2100 or higher in your battlegroup. A maximum of four players are allowed per team. Complete rules at the end of this post.

Sign ups end October 29^th. The start of the tournament will follow shortly afterwards — the exact date TBA.
