Assuming the shaman is Resto, UA is better (in my experience) than an sl build for your warlock here, although I would recommend 17/33/11, sl/ruin, followed by Sl/sl (in that order)if you were to run soul link.

This strategy is similar to priest/paladin/warrior, although slightly easier so long as you're careful about killing windfury totems. In this matchup, since there's no prayer of mending, your warlock should be keeping up dots on all 3 targets - paladin, warrior, shaman; in that order. UA on the shaman is unnecessary, and it's doubtful you'll get the opportunity to actually cast that often, but again your first kill should be the paladin. keeping dots up affords the paladin no rest on dispels, and UAs randomly here and there will scare him to death. However, with a shaman healer he's going to have more breathing room when it comes to casted heals than a priest would offer. However, keeping tongues up on both healers, as well as curse of elements on the warrior, will allow you to constantly apply pressure. During the bubble, all three of your players should be moving to cc their other 2, and mana drains on the shaman is a great idea if fear DRs are a problem. Dispelling offensively (especially earth and water shield) and using a felhunter macro to totemstomp are the minor details needed to win this fight, especially windfury and grounding during periods of burst (ie shatter combos).

Your mage should be paying special attention to the positioning of the opposing shaman, and watching for interrupts on frost spells. NOTE: a druid is a killable target for a warrior with windfury, so be aware that you may have to waste a pet nova and/or deathcoil 15seconds into the fight in order to keep your druid alive. Dispelling judgement of justice is absolutely imperative in the first 30 seconds of a fight - alot of teams will start on the warlock and switch over to the druid if it seems like he's not paying attention to his own health, and especially with the popularity of mace spec, this is bad news.

You sad that it is good for the warlock pet to eat water shields, it really doesnt matter, but it costs no mana, and everytime your pet eats it the shaman gains 600 instant mana...

  2. Ziss Says:

Shaman does NOT gain any mana bad having water shield dispelled. Not sure where you got that from. Even if they recast, you still traded a pet cooldown for the Shaman's global.
