This Week’s PTR Build Notes, New Hemo, Druid Shifting
November 3rd, 2007 by Magog ·
Another weekend, another patch to the PTR. Before we get to the changes in the patch notes, here are a couple of screenshots that I’m sure rogues are happy about:

Also, a current hot topic is the new /cancelform on the PTR. As a side effect of the 2.3 autoshifting changes, /cancelform is now client-based and does not need server confirmation (like /dismount). The result, when combined with druid shifting macros, is that form changing will be one-press and, in effect, instant — without the druid ever appearing in caster form. Check out these clips of the shifting macros in action: 1, 2, 3.
No doubt, this is every druid’s dream come true, but some are concerned that the improved shifting may tip the balance a little too far on an already strong PvP class. Serennia feels so strongly about the improved druid shifting on the PTR that he’s braving the WoW forums. What do you guys think on how this change will affect the different brackets: 2v2s, 3v3s and 5v5s?

World of Warcraft PTR Patch 2.3.0 - PvP Secific (11.2.07 update)

• Humans: Mace Skill now increases the critical strike chance with maces and two-handed maces by 1%.
Druid
• Challenging Roar: The chance for this ability to land successfully on its targets is now increased by hit rating.

• Hemorrhage: This ability now does 125% of weapon damage.
• Shadowstep (Subtlety) can now be used at any time, not only while stealthed. Now increases the damage and reduces the threat caused by the next damaging ability. Cooldown increased to 30 seconds. Range changed to 25 yards.

Woo guess im going to be using shiv alot more when those dam druids are running away ~_~.. Im accutally frightened by this change. WSG will be completly owned by a set of druids.

That hemo buff is broken. Period.
November 3rd, 2007 at 11:29 am
What was Blizzard thinking?
November 3rd, 2007 at 12:14 pm
I love it…. hemo is so imba lawl
November 3rd, 2007 at 12:20 pm
who wouldn’t want to be hemo now lol
November 3rd, 2007 at 12:42 pm
I was really wondering why 36 extra taken on hemo instead of 10 was such a big deal, when I just realized that it’s 125% weapon damage instead of 100%.
This is crazy my rogue partner must go hemo next patch. Best part is that he has a 103 dps 2.8 speed weapon.
November 3rd, 2007 at 1:00 pm
Dudus more OP than any class thats for sure
November 3rd, 2007 at 3:53 pm
it would appear the new 125% damage hemo is normalized
November 3rd, 2007 at 5:45 pm
I just want to say that the /cancelform have no effect whatsoever, if you play with 0ms already. It will however reduse the differenec betewen druids with good connections and thows with worse.
How it is on 2.3 are just the way it were always intended to be. If it wasent there would be a cooldown on shapeshifting, global cooldown most likly (with are NOT triggerd atm, it’s a pure connection delay). And they sure wouldent fix it if it were not intended.

The hemo buff has destroyed all other rogue specs for arena, why would you go anything but AR/prep. With S3 coming and a net increase to resilience crit dependent builds like muti are getting nerfed, mixed with this buff, don’t think you will see muti rogues anymore.
Is it normalized?
November 4th, 2007 at 2:03 am
I 2v2 with a warlock (I know, who doesn’t?) so the druid changes aren’t going to be huge for us, but I feel bad for melee based teams.
Well, not that bad, but bad enough that I want druids nerfed again.
5v5 the insta-shift and Natural Perfection talent will help a lot for druid survivability, but in the 2s against melee it’s going to make druids that much more overpowered. They’re already an insane healer in the 2s (with their survivability, instant heals, mana burn prevention, CC prevention, kiting prevention, CCs and caster interrupts already), and this will push them even further ahead.
November 4th, 2007 at 2:27 am
the druid shifting from one form to another is just an illusion
you still actually go to caster form
November 4th, 2007 at 4:02 am
Hemo is normalized instead.

Any reason i can’t see my post?
November 4th, 2007 at 5:25 am
Maybe i’m just an idiot, but my 5:22 post isn’t showing up: to sum it up–the single line that interupts/silences are now on DR is going to effect my shaman massively. If i put in a shock rotation on a pally for example, and my spriest follows with a silence, the pally will be immune to that silence.
November 4th, 2007 at 5:53 am
The druid shifting change is just a latency fix. Now they will simply be able to do what they were supposed to, but couldn’t because of lag. If they weren’t supposed to insta-shift, there would be some sort of global cooldown after shifting out..
It’s just like the spellcasting change which eliminates the need for stopcasting macros: it simply allows casters to do the DPS they were supposed to do (although this is more of a PvE change)
November 4th, 2007 at 3:23 pm
Agreed with the above post on shifiting, there is some time delay with lag etc… though another patch, no more buffs for warlocks, rouges still own! as for survivability in 5s, druids already have many ways to do so, having a 70 alt druid myself, bash, shapeshift roar, innervate, hell even sprint, can all be used to run / stun lock / heal… now u got hemo!!
November 4th, 2007 at 5:34 pm
• Unstable Affliction: The silence from this ability is now subject to diminishing returns.
-. - demons anyone ?
November 5th, 2007 at 7:17 am
Humans: Mace Skill now increases the critical strike chance with maces and two-handed maces by 1%.
lame
November 5th, 2007 at 9:23 am
Honestly, Whats up with the druid love? Druids are allready out of hand in 2v2, 3v3. The only way to stop them was to get a cc in on them in casterform, well now since that is gone i guess there is noway to stop them, GG RUIN THE GAME BLIZZARD!……….
November 5th, 2007 at 10:13 am
Having a druid as my ex-main, I feel it fair. During the whole Wow 1.x experience, druids had nearly the same abilities. People clearly whine on Resto druids. The only change for those was really the arrival of the arena, where the morphing and moving abilities of every druids, even the dumbs ones, shine.
btw, stop emo, or roll demo.
November 5th, 2007 at 12:11 pm
dajay your retarded druids are obviously op in 2vs2 3vs3 they ie druid warrior, druid rogue, druid warlock being 3 of the best areana teams around… the class is obviously imbalanced..and doesnt need a buff..in 3 vs 3 its just as bad ie warlock druid rogue being pretty much the best team…
November 5th, 2007 at 12:28 pm
Druids needed this buff badly. Those who are whining have obviously never had to play a Druid in pvp. Reroll if you think it is overpowered.
November 5th, 2007 at 1:15 pm
i lvld a drood to 40 , they were fun in pvp but i never liked the shapeshifting part and thought why not pally? no shifting there
still, druids are a huge learning curve and really good player can be a good druid at best, not so much now
oh, and i guess theres Serennia, pvp warrior, not happy with hemo???
as a rogue, i cant even get away from warriors and their mace o’ doom, but it is fun to watch a fire mage take em down just as fast as i went down
November 5th, 2007 at 2:39 pm
#24 Are you retarded? 4 real man i have a 70Druid 70 Lock & 70 warrior, The druid is FAR more imba then my lock, and that says it all.
November 6th, 2007 at 6:52 am
Instead of nerfing druids, how about giving more moving/anti-snaring abilities to other PvP-healers ?
November 6th, 2007 at 11:45 am
#26 are you retarded? I have a 70 Lock, 70 Warrior and 70 Druid and the lock is the most power and easy to pvp with. Chain Fear, dots, healing, pet etc.
You really need to L2P.
